Blessed

Catastrophe, Disaster on the River. These are some of the things that the news people have been saying. I am a girl from Minnesota and it is a few days after the worst tragedy that has every hit our great state. I have seen floods and tornados, the damage they have caused, the lives lost. I have heard amazing stories from those situations, but despite all of those I have never been more proud of my state as I am now. I feel rather lucky to have grown up here, and I know that god is watching out for us. To give those of you that don't live so close a little bit of perspecitive this was a huge bridge that fell. It was one that was well travelled and a very beautiful part of our city. It is gone now, along with many vehicles. The amazing thing is the death toll is low. That people are ok, and it could have been much worse. I feel blessed to live in a state where people instict is save others. I also feel blessed for something in my life, in all the tragedy and all the devestation. I was able to find something that made me smile more brightly than I have ever. Thank you god, for all these blessings.
